Scheduler, Manufacturing ​/ Production

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Scheduler to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials between departments of our manufacturing plant. The scheduler will coordinate manufacturing assets and work cross-functionally with operations teams to ensure business needs are met. As a highly valued member of the organization, production schedulers help to drive continuous improvement activities that directly impact company success.

• Creates and maintains the master schedule to establish sequence and lead time for each operation.
• Ensures production finishes end products by ship dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
• Analyzes production specifications, plant capacity data, and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, raw materials, and staffing requirements.
• Recommends improvements to management based on the schedule and resource analytics.
• Confers with department managers to determine status of schedule and associated projects.
• Expedites operations that delay production schedules; alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
• Allocates raw materials (WID’s) for manufacturing utilizing the company ERP system.
• Prepares production reports to include on-time delivery.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient with computers and the Microsoft suite. Effectively present information and respond to questions from persons inside and outside the organization.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to quickly learn various software programs that aid in work completion.
