Registered Nurse parttime

Axion Spine & Neurosurgery is a medical practice in Atlanta specializing in minimally-invasive and non-surgical spine care. Our elite team of professionals are dedicated to providing best-in-class services. We are looking for a Registered Nurse, passionate about providing exceptional care for patients, and committed to helping us grow our new Outpatient Surgery Center.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Communicate with scheduling and anesthesia to determine if patient is a good candidate for outpatient surgery.
• Obtain Perioperative (pre-op) clearance H&P, lab results, tests, and other documentation from primary care offices.
• Pre-op teaching via phone.
• Pre-op admittance on the day of surgery/procedure.
• Draw labs as needed.
• PACU patient care and discharge education.
• Responsible for all aspects of patient care
• Identify patient needs based on professional knowledge and medical plan of care.
• Coordinate care to maximize desirable outcomes and patient satisfaction.
• Assist during emergency procedures and medical intervention.
• Follow all facility policies and procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Serve as a representative and a clinical role model in all interactions with patients, family, visitors, physicians, and other staff members.

• **** 40% Pre-op clearance
• 20% Pre-op admittance
• 40% PACU

• Georgia RN License
• ACLS
• Minimum of 1 year Pre-op, PACU and/or OR experience
