Role Overview

Rotating Machine and EV Applications Development Manager
to drive innovation-led growth for our
Nomex® business
. For over 60 years, our materials have enabled the safe and reliable use of electrical equipment to transform electrical energy into mechanical work. As the industry evolves with the mega trend of electrification, we are innovating to shape the future of electrified motion. The Global Rotating Machine and EV Application Development Manager will lead global technical strategy, application development, and customer-facing support for Nomex® electrical insulation systems used in rotating machines, electric motors, generators, and EV drive trains.

This role combines leadership with hands‑on application development expertise, serving as both a manager and individual contributor to advance business priorities, identify emerging market needs, and guide technology programs that support growth and innovation. This position reports directly to the
Global Technology Manager for Energy Solutions and Aerospace
.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include consolidating regional trends, customer needs, and technology priorities into a coordinated global view for rotating machine and EV applications; representing the team in leadership meetings by providing project updates, technical recommendations, and input into segment strategies; and leading, coaching, and developing a global technical team while maintaining individual contribution as an application development expert. The role also sets direction for research and development programs supporting Nomex® electrical insulation products and systems for OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and industrial customers;

manages long–term electrical insulation systems development, including specification development, testing programs, data analysis, and interpretation of lab and field results; provides voice‑of‑customer input to material development engineers and commercial teams to guide new product development and application improvements; partners with Sales and Marketing to support existing…
