MSI Automate is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Analyst to assist in the MSI Automate warehouse software development process. As part of the SQA team, the ideal candidate for this position will help test, analyze, track, and report flaws within our software solutions that contradict the acceptance criteria defined in the functional & technical specifications for each client project. In doing so, the Software Quality Assurance Analyst will work directly with project managers, content owners, and software developers to drive quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

This is a remote/virtual position.

Software Quality Assurance Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Test, analyze and track software flaws
  • Drive process and take ownership of testing’s best practices
  • Execute both white and black box tests of MSI Automate warehouse software
  • Design test plans and test strategies for client stakeholders
  • Identify and communicate risks before and during the software development lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain a test bucket by component or feature that contains all the test cases on any given project including automated and manual scripts
  • Run smoke, integration and regression tests for software cycle releases
  • Create and maintain testing documentation on how to test the software solution which includes troubleshooting when applicable
  • Coordinate with both remote and co-located teams, daily, to find the best test strategies for any given project
  • Participate in daily standup calls with assigned project team(s)
  • Work directly with Software Developers to drive quality code development
  • Collaborate with Content Owners on user requirements and acceptance criteria throughout the project’s lifespan
  • Key participant on multiple and simultaneous projects
  • Communicate deployment status, risks and mitigation plans
  • Coordinate and communicate key technical aspects of the projects with team members
Software Quality Assurance Analyst Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain engineering or equivalent experience with Software Quality Assurance and/or Warehouse Management Systems
  • 2+ years of experience working as a WMS tester
  • Strong understanding of and exposure to Visual Studio .NET environment (C#)
  • Superior written and inter-personal communication capabilities
  • Proven aptitude for performing under pressure in a fast-paced working environment
  • Inherent curiosity and ability to learn from existing library of work
  • Must be a strong-minded individual who thinks outside the box and determined to find software failures and inquire whenever possible
  • Basic understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Lean
  • Ability to review logs to discover and locate root cause failures
Software Quality Assurance Analyst Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience with WMS, WES systems
  • Willing to coordinate and conduct trainings with internal and external teams
  • Experience with newly transformed agile teams that use Kanban as a managing method for continuous integration and development
  • Skilled in managing customer relations to provide an expertise of the software platform
  • Developed knowledge on how to test and validate RF handhelds that are not limited to Windows or Android operating systems
  • Understand auditing procedures of projects for compliance of MSI Automate standards
  • Knowledge of software automation frameworks with a familiarity with testing frameworks such as Postman, TestNG, JUnit, or Selenium
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Understanding of business and technical processes and how they support clients’ business
