We are looking to hire a talented software engineer having 3+ years of experience to join the Advisory team in the Morgan Stanley Alpharetta, GA office. The Advisory team is responsible for maintaining and building systems for Advisory business.

We are working on a Portfolio Management System for UMA business to build the next generation of systems using latest technologies and techniques and hence are looking for a software engineer to help drive the development. The role is primarily to create and maintain portfolio trading application built using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, Angular and REST APIs.

• At least 3 years of hand‑on Java EE and core Java experience with strong leadership qualities
• Experience in developing client-server, distributed, real-time applications using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot and Apache Kafka
• Good knowledge of Concurrency and high volume server side development
• Working knowledge of Cloud development environment and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Azure
• Experience with web service development, REST and Services Oriented Architecture
• Involvement in full Software Development Life Cycle of the project.
• Experience working with Source Code Management solutions like (ex. Git, Perforce, CVS)
• Strong object-oriented design and development skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail
• Self‑motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership of tasks and projects.
