Untrained - Lane 5 $ 15.61;
Trained - Lane 6 $ 16.62. Employee will have the option to complete an in-district training which may qualify for lane 6.

• The job of Instructional Paraprofessional is done for the purpose of providing support to the instructional program within the assigned classroom with specific responsibility for assisting in the supervision, care and instruction of special needs students in the resource classroom; assisting in implementing plans for instruction; monitoring student behavior during non-classroom time; and providing clerical support to teachers and staff.
• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing classroom objectives and IEP goals.
• Administers immediate first aid and medical assistance as instructed by a health care professional for the purpose of meeting immediate health care needs of students.
• Administers tests, homework, make-up work, etc. for the purpose of supporting teachers in the classroom.
• Assists data collection under the direction of the assigned teacher for the purpose of monitoring student progress.
• Assists students with self-care activities for the purpose of maintaining students’ personal hygiene.
• Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments for the purpose of practicing and reinforcing learning concepts and assisting students in reaching academic goals and grade level standards.
• Attends job-specific trainings and meetings for the purpose of acquiring and/or conveying information relative to job functions.
• Communicates with supervising instructional staff for the purpose of assisting in evaluating progress and/or implementing IEP and/or 504 objectives.
• Demonstrates appropriate role modeling for the purpose of guiding students in the development of social and interpersonal behavior.
• Implements, under the supervision of the assigned teacher, behavioral plans identified in student IEPs for the purpose of reinforcing learning concepts.
• Maintains instructional materials and/or files/records and classroom equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability of items and meeting mandated requirements.
• Monitors students during assigned periods in a variety of school environments for the purpose of maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
• Performs clerical duties for the purpose of ensuring efficient and effective operations.
• Provides instruction to students in a variety of individual and group activities for the purpose of reinforcing instructional objectives and ensuring student success in school.
• Reports observations and incidents relating to specific students for the purpose of communicating information to appropriate instructional and/or administrative personnel.
• Supervises and escorts students to/from classes for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must complete mandatory employee training within the first 3 months of employment.
