Cook – Alsager School

REQ 591701 | Permanent Position | £13.15 per hour (£17,235.32 per annum)

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Cook to join our dedicated catering team at Alsager School, ST7 2HR
.

This is a permanent, term‑time only role (39 working weeks + holiday pay = 43.689 paid weeks), working Monday to Friday, 8am to 2pm (30 hours per week).

• Preparing and cooking meals for break and lunch service, ensuring food quality and minimal waste.
• Working closely with a supportive kitchen team.
• Following set recipes and food standards.
• Assisting with deliveries, stock control, and general kitchen operations.
• Completing due diligence paperwork, including temperature checks.
• Supporting with regular deep cleaning tasks.

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment.
• A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new kitchen practices.
• Flexibility and a positive attitude.
• A successful candidate will need to undergo security checks and an enhanced DBS.
