Permit Technician

Public Agency Resources (PARS), a subsidiary of Willdan Group Inc., is hiring an ICC Permit Technician in Altadena, CA. In this role you will perform permit counter work at a local municipality, ensuring accurate permit processing and excellent customer service.

$30.00/hr - $35.00/hr

• Provide customer support at the counter and over the phone.
• Review permit applications for completeness and accuracy.
• Calculate permit fees.
• Process and issue building permits.
• Confirm all conditions of approvals are met prior to issuance.
• Assist the public in completing permit applications.
• Verify that projects have obtained all necessary approvals before issuance.
• Notify applicants when construction documents and/or permits are ready for pick‑up or issuance.
• Coordinate and route construction documents to the appropriate staff for plan review and approval.
• Resolve resident inquiries/complaints.

• ICC Certification and municipal experience (ICC Permit Technician).
• Two (2) or more years of experience as a Permit Technician.
• Knowledge of permitting software is a plus.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• Jurisdiction industry experience.
