As a
Senior
Administrative
Officer
, you’ll be an integral part of our Social Work teams, providing essential administrative support to our District Managers whilst line managing our team of Senior Administrative Assistants. Your work will allow frontline professionals to focus on what matters most – safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. In this dynamic and rewarding role, you’ll work behind the scenes handling a variety of tasks that utilise both your organisation and communication skills.
You’ll spend a minimum of one day per week based at Cambridge Road,
Aldershot
and one day per based at Park House,
Alton
.

What you’ll do:
  • Lead and manage a team of Senior Administrative Assistants,overseeing performance, workload coordination, recruitment, onboarding, training, and wellbeing.
  • Drive operational excellence across the district
    by leading communications, overseeing project timelines, ensuring compliance, and delivering impactful events and training.
  • Provide administrative support to the District Manager
    including diary management, meeting coordination, and general team support to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation
    such as reports, correspondence, court documents, and accurate databases and records.
  • Handle confidential information
    with discretion while acting as the first point of contact for internal and external queries.
  • Support financial and logistical processes
    by assisting with financial administration, processing invoices and payments, and organising transport for families.
What we’re looking for:
  • Experience in providing support and guidance
    to other staff members.
  • Extensive administrative experience
    with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in IT and digital systems
    , including Microsoft Office and other software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    , ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team.
  • Adaptable and resilient
    , capable of working under pressure, using initiative, and managing competing priorities.
