As aStudent Support Assistant, you will play a central role in guiding,encouraging, and supporting our young people to thrive both academically and emotionally. Working closely with the Student Services Manager and Pastoral Team, you willact as a positive role model, build firm and caring relationships, and create strong links between home and school.

• Mentoring & Guidance:
  Deliver tailored support, workshops, and strategies covering anger management, organization, revision, and social skills.
• Pastoral & Behaviour Support:
  Challenge poor behaviour, fostera positive school ethos, support our Inclusion Room, and champion the school reward policy.
• Family Liaison:
  Act as a key point of contact for parents/carers regarding attendance, behaviour, and student progress.
• Safeguarding & Welfare:
  Help ensure a rigorous, proactive approach to student safety, wellbeing, and child protection.
• Operational Excellence:
  Assist with SIMS student data, maintain accurate records, document referrals, and support wider student services.

• Qualifications:
  
  GCSEs (Grades A*-C / 9-4) in English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Skills:
  
  Strong communication, excellent ICT skills, emotional resilience, and a positive "can-do" attitude.
• Approach:
  Ability to act as a firm, fair, and caring role modelwho can work independently and as part of a dedicated team.
• Desirable:
  Experience working in an educational or social care setting, previous work with families, or familiarity with SIMS.
