Training and Development Specialist

We are currently seeking motivated and member-oriented individuals to join our team as a Training & Development Specialist.
Job SummaryPlays a key role in facilitating, engaging, effective learning experience for staff at all levels of the credit union. From onboarding new hires to supporting continuous professional development, this position helps create a culture of learning and growth.
Key Responsibilities- Create, organize, plan and deliver engaging instructor‑led training sessions (in person, virtually via Teams and off‑site)
- Develop and update training materials, guides, job aids, and e‑learning content.
- Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys and feedback.
- Support new employee onboarding and orientation programs.
- Produces monthly team member newsletter.
- Assist with managing the learning management system (LMS) and maintaining accurate training records.
- Collect and track post‑event feedback through surveys; maintains records of training and development activities.
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance with training content.
- Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
- (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with a passion for helping others succeed.
- Advanced skills with MS Office programs (Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Teams).
- Experience in a credit union or financial services environment is a plus.
