Additional Information about the Role
  • 40 hours per week
  • Dayshift Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
  • No weekends or holidays
  • Sign on bonus eligible
Overview

BJC Medical Group is the multi‑specialty physician organization of BJC Health Care and includes over 600 doctors and advanced practice providers affiliated with top‑ranked hospitals. Since 1994, the group has provided access to world‑class care through integrated systems and nationally recognized quality. Physicians are trained in over 25 specialties and serve patients at more than 125 locations across Greater St. Louis, Mid‑Missouri, and Southern Illinois.

Role

Purpose

The Medical Assistant (MA) provides assistance under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider, performing selected duties to promote patient health and deliver care per established protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Cleans, prepares, and stocks supplies in exam rooms.
  • Obtains vital signs, collects patient history, and maintains accurate charting.
  • Performs clinical skills including phlebotomy, ECG (EKGs), point‑of‑care testing, and injections.
  • Triages calls, provides test and lab results, and presents relevant information to the provider using correct medical terminology.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • No prior experience required.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • Cert/Reg in area of expertise.
Preferred Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification.
