Responsibilities- Lead daily activities to ensure tax office associates complete work by deadlines with quality, prioritization, and alignment to goals
- Build an engaging team environment by training and coaching associates to execute Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates
- Create associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and overtime management
- Prepare tax returns, as required
- Conduct timely performance reviews and partner with the Associate Relations Center to resolve issues and address performance concerns
- Multi-unit people management experience in the retail, restaurant, banking, or related industry
- 2+ years as a Tax Professional
- Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, develop local partnerships, and manage office community involvement
- Assist the District General Manager in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions
- Serve as the point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns
- Ensure clients are scheduled properly and conflicts are resolved
- Lead daily activities to ensure all tax office associates complete work on time with quality standards
- Lead and coach associates to meet service standards and recognize high performance
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information
- Create schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and overtime management
- Prepare tax returns, as required
- Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns
- Customer service, shift lead, or similar experience
- Experience supervising or managing people
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course* (if preparing tax returns)
- Annual completion of continuing education and ability to meet IRS/state requirements
- Computer proficiency with MS Office
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Customer-centric mindset, resilient and adaptable
- Flexible work schedule and assignments based on business needs
- High school diploma or equivalent or higher
Pay range: $15.00 - $65.00 per hour
