Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Skilled Nursing and Rehab position in a long-term care facility, requiring an active IL RN license and strong Med/Surg skills.

• Work in skilled nursing and rehab units within a long-term care facility
• Patient population includes up to 20 residents per nurse, with an average facility census of 72
• Provides care to dementia and post-surgical patients, including administering IV medications and wound care
• Night shifts (3x12 hours), 18:30 to 07:00, with every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Power Chart for EMR documentation
• Utilizes lifting equipment for patient mobility
• Works closely with CNAs and HCAs in a collaborative team environment
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract; no time off allowed during first week of orientation
• Cannot be a permanent employee returning within one year of prior employment at the facility
• Travelers must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility
• Free parking is available on-site
• Scrubs in any shade of blue are required

• Active IL RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in LTC, SNF, Assisted Living, or Med-Surg settings
• IV Certification required before starting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Dementia training or experience is highly recommended
• Excellent customer service skills are essential
