OverviewSince 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has served residents in Alton, Illinois, and surrounding communities. It offers inpatient and outpatient services including surgery, medical imaging, heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, emergency care, and more.
The Surgical Care UnitFeatures a 12-bed inpatient care unit and a 6-bed observation suite, providing care for general surgery, orthopedic, pediatric, and medical observation patients, following a patient-centered philosophy.
Role Purpose & ResponsibilitiesProvides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Educates patients and families, promotes safety, participates in professional development, develops and documents care plans, and assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and barriers.
Minimum Requirements- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree
- Experience: No experience required
- License & Certification: RN license
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Less than 2 years of experience
