Oncology Nurse Coordinator

Responsibilities include developing and documenting individualized care plans, assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, and supporting patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Role Overview

Seeking an Oncology Nurse Coordinator to provide direct patient care in a busy oncology practice. The role involves assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within established nursing standards. The nurse promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, and ensures communication across the care continuum. Responsibilities include developing and documenting individualized care plans, assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, and supporting patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Skills
  • RN license with a Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree;
    Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of bedside experience and prior oncology experience strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and patient education skills
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment
  • Accepts BSN/MSN candidates; 2+ years of relevant experience preferred for advanced roles

  • Provide comprehensive patient assessments and care planning
  • Educate patients and families on treatment, medication, and post-care needs
  • Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and professional development
