Pay range for this position is $37.05 - $54.54/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

Shift Differentials:

• 3rd shift - $4.00/hour
• Weekends - $3.25/hour

Our Medical Surgical Unit is a great place to begin your career as a graduate nurse learn about nursing skills, teamwork, and critical thinking. Our unit also challenges the experienced nursing staff with the complexity and acuity of our patient population. we have a 45 bed unit comprised of a diverse population of patients. Some of the diagnosis es that we see range from COPD, CHF, pneumoia, stroke, AKI, Medical stabilization, and much more.

Nursing ratios are 4-6:1 and the goal is to maintain a free charge who has the ability to help with patient throughput and patient placement. Nurses hire in through our progression competency onboarding model and work through critical thinking skills before they come off of orientation. Our medical surgical team sets the bar high with our hyperfocus on quality metrics and an excellent patient experience.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Primary Charge Nurse-Inpatient/ED assists in overseeing and directing work of nursing personnel engaging in providing patient/nursing care services on assigned shifts, according to departmental policies and nursing care standards. Demonstrates accountability for ensuring safe, high quality patient care, enhances the patient /family experience, and provides effective leadership contributing to the delivery of the organization's objectives. Determines work priorities, prepares daily work assignments, and serves as a resource person for unit personnel in resolving operational and patient care problems.

The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education:
  
  Associates in Nursing, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing must be obtained within 3 years of date of hire into role.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  
  RN-Registered Nurse BLS and ACLS, PALS, or other certification as required by unit.
• Other skills/knowledge:
  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education:
  
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience:
  
  2 years of experience on the unit or similar unit.
• License/
  
  Certifications:
  
  Certification in area of specialty.
