Ameren Illinois offers an Apprentice Lineman program in central and southern Illinois, training in line construction and maintenance for advancement to Journeyman Lineman. You will learn on unenergized circuits first, then energized circuits up to 480 volts, under supervision and later independently as proficiency grows.
