MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking an energetic, self‑motivated and professional Job Coach to join our Alton Career Center team. This position is scheduled on an as‑needed basis, with varying hours – mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays – depending on participant need.
Qualifications- High School Diploma and experience working in social services required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
- First Aid and CPR certifications preferred.
- A valid driver’s license and car insurance is required.
- Work alongside participants as needed to help meet employer expectations regarding task completion and speed.
- Provide ongoing training to improve participant work performance after employer’s training period ends.
- Problem‑solve to create accommodations or other solutions to address performance issues.
- Support participants in developing and maintaining relationships with co‑workers and supervisors.
- Maintain natural support on the job and establish working relationships with supervisors.
- Implement proper fade‑in and re‑entry techniques to ensure participant success.
- Maintain contact with the assigned MERS/Goodwill case manager to report progress and difficulties.
- Complete agency documentation, including daily observations and job‑coaching/retention hourly logs.
- Use work‑site time to complete all necessary documentation, aiming for a minimum of 80% of hours worked in billable time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
