We offer a broad range of services such as onsite x‑ray, health management, cold and flu treatment, sutures, and more. We are currently looking for a full‑time Medical Assistant (CMA or MA) to join our team!
DescriptionYou'll be responsible for providing basic clinical care to patients commensurate with your medical education. Duties include performing initial clinical evaluations and urgent care procedures, preparing patients for advanced registered nurse practitioner evaluation by taking a brief history, establishing vital signs, and recording appropriate documentation.
Overall ResponsibilityJob duties include, but are not limited to: preparing exam rooms for next patient, taking vital signs, administering injections, drawing blood, running labs, performing EKGs, ordering supplies, and more.
Key Tasks And Responsibilities- Greets patients in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner.
- Triage patients, recording all vitals, medical history, and accurately entering data into the EMR.
- Prepare new and existing patient charts with the appropriate forms, ensuring copies are dated and placed in the patient file.
- Retrieve required signatures on forms.
- Collect, verify, and copy patient insurance information.
- Maintain medical records according to policy, copying and transferring records when indicated.
- Keep the office and waiting area clean and orderly.
- Order supplies within budgetary guidelines.
- Follow protocols that provide medical authority when indicated.
- Perform complete physical exams and assessments of patients including urgent, emergent, and non‑urgent presentations.
- Select, order, and perform tests and procedures to augment physical findings.
- Define/document differential diagnoses.
- Write orders on physician order sheets for tests, procedures, and therapies in accordance with medical nursing protocols.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed, in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Interpret diagnostic data for an appropriate course of action, including blood gases, radiology, EKG, etc., in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Notate findings and treatment courses in the inpatient chart, including follow‑up notes.
- Complete all lab tests as ordered by the provider on staff.
- Assist with patient registration, clinic callbacks, and other duties as needed.
- Maintain regular and sustained attendance.
- Ability to read and write medical terminology accurately.
- Ability to work all shifts, including day, evening, and weekend hours as needed.
- Ability to escort or transport patients by wheelchair or stretcher when appropriate.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff.

Education and Experience- High school diploma or equivalent and graduate of an accredited program.
- MA – certificate preferred but not required.
- BLS required.
- Adult and child mandatory reporter training.
- 1 year experience preferred.
