Location: Altoona, PA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Compensation: $240,000+ annually (based on experience)
Position Overview:
Join a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) committed to providing accessible, high-quality, and culturally sensitive mental health care to the community. We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist (MD/DO) to provide outpatient psychiatric services to both adults and children.
You will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team supported by experienced clinical and administrative staff, allowing you to focus on patient care while maintaining an excellent work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in an outpatient setting.
- Manage a diverse caseload that includes both adult and pediatric patients.
- Collaborate closely with primary care and behavioral health teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support the FQHC's mission of accessible, community-focused healthcare.
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license and DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
- Commitment to serving a diverse and underserved patient population with empathy and professionalism.

- Salary: $240,000+ per year, commensurate with experience
- Health Insurance: Employer covers 80% (employee portion: $41-$164/month)
