Practice Opportunity

The University of Pittsburgh Department of Urology practice in Altoona, PA is recruiting two full-time urologists to join the practice.

• Practice clinic is located in UPMC Altoona hospital
• Currently staffed with 2.5 physicians and 2 advance practice providers
• Current practice includes general urology, urologic oncology, female urology, robotic surgery
• MRI fusion biopsy, transperineal prostate biopsy, urodynamics performed in office
• Current call schedule is six weeknights per month, no weekend call
• Hospitalist service admits patients
• Physicians are members of the University of Pittsburgh Physicians Department of Urology

• UPMC Altoona has 12 ORs, a dedicated cystoscopy suite with fixed flouro, and an upgraded Da Vinci XI Robotic Surgical System in the hospital.
• The on-campus Ambulatory Surgery Center has 6 ORs
• UPMC Altoona (part of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center hospital network) is a 400-bed regional health care system providing care to residents of a six-county service area in west central Pennsylvania.
• UPMC Altoona is a level IIl trauma center, regional oncology center, and a Joint Commission-certified stroke center.
• The Health System's medical staff consists of approximately 400 primary care and specialty physicians.
• Hospital staff includes a 23-physician hospitalist team, a full-service intensivist staff and a team of interventional radiologists.
