We are seeking a Full Time Team Leader of Employment Services/Career Developer to provide work-based learning experience and shadowing supports, which enable referred individuals to experience, develop, and achieve job readiness skills so as to obtain and retain employment in the community – as well as delivering services on a one-to-one basis or in groups using positive approaches and person-centered practices.

Responsibilities
  • This position Supervises the team of employment training professionals and employment training specialists (job coaches).
  • Supports the Employment Training Professionals and Specialists as needed.
  • Serves as back-up to program manager for the Time and Labor system, HER, CWDS and EIM plus related needs to include incident management.
  • Ensures billing information is accurate and complete for Pre-ET’s services.
  • Meets with referrals and their team to provide program and employment information and options. Coordinates and participates in the development of plans for employment. Implements plans for employment. Provides any and all services necessary to achieve the community based job.
  • Provides training and one-on-one support to program participants once employment has been achieved. Fades off when appropriate. Follows up with program participants and employer as appropriate.
  • Completes required paperwork and reports for internal and external audiences.
  • Identifies transportation needs to and from job site as needed.
  • Markets Skills Employment Services to funding sources and area business and industry.
  • Attends a minimum of 24 hours of related training per year.
Hours of Work

This position is primarily daylight hours but is responsible to oversee the program which does occasionally operate into the evening depending upon the work hours of the individuals supported.

Requirements and Experience – we provide PAID training!
  • Education: Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or Business OR Associate’s Degree or 60 College Credits
  • Experience: Minimum of three years experience supporting people with an intellectual or developmental disabilities
  • Certification: Must be ACRE (Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators) certified or obtain within six months of hire
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • I9 Identification (Social Security Card, Passport, etc.)
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Special Knowledge, Skills &

    Competencies:

  • Knowledge of the human services industry and vocational and employment services.
  • Knowledge of disabilities and special needs populations.
  • Ability to learn company software packages and be computer literate.
  • Knowledge of traditional and non-traditional sales principles, practices, and techniques.
