We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled BIM/CAD Technician to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting field operations by creating, modifying, and preparing CAD and BIM models for construction layout. This position offers an opportunity to expand skills in building coordination and integrate cutting‑edge construction technology into our projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

CAD & BIM Drafting:
Create, edit, and manipulate 2D and 3D CAD files for construction layout, site preparation, and coordination.

Surface Model Preparation:

Develop and refine surface models for GPS‑guided equipment.

Field Support:
Work with field crews to troubleshoot and optimize digital layouts using robotic total stations and GPS systems.

Quality Control:

Validate model accuracy against contract drawings, survey data, and project specifications.

Coordination:

Integrate BIM/CAD models with construction schedules, clash detection, and site logistics.

Technology Optimization:

Stay updated on new BIM/CAD technologies to enhance workflow and accuracy.

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or similar CAD/BIM software

Experience with construction layout technology (Topcon, Trimble, or Leica)

Familiarity with coordinate systems and digital terrain models

Ability to troubleshoot and support field personnel with digital layouts

Strong organizational and communication skills

Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

Interest in growing with BIM and construction technology
