Overview
Value Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Support Administrator to join our team. This role is essential in supporting cross-functional staff needs and providing a wide range of administrative and analytical duties for our specialty pharmacy operations. You’ll work closely with site leadership to extract and interpret data from pharmacy systems, facilitate reporting, and support decision-making.
Responsibilities- Provide administrative support for pharmacy staff, including rebilling assistance, patient intake, appeal submissions, and patient packet entry.
- Utilize reporting tools, management reports, and spreadsheet models for business analysis.
- Document business processes and workflows for current and future analysis projects.
- Identify industry trends to assist with projection analysis and budget preparation.
- Provide phone system coverage and take meeting minutes.
- Manage mail sorting, company mailings, document filing, and electronic storage.
- Coordinate conference appointments, meetings, and on-site in-service schedules.
- Maintain a clean work environment and facilitate data collection/submission.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong computer operation skills, including proficiency in Office
365, Excel, and Word. - Excellent customer service and communication/telephone skills.
Preferred:
- Experience processing calls in an automated call center environment.
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
- Accurate recording and documentation of medical and insurance information.
- Effective communication with staff, patients, healthcare providers, and payers.
- Ability to read and interpret physician orders and write routine reports/correspondence.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to meet tight deadlines and handle changing priorities.
- Regularly required to talk or hear, sit for extended periods, stand, walk, and use hands/fingers for computer operation.
- May occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.
- No supervisory responsibility.
- Must attend periodic in-service or training classes as designated by management.
- Security clearance/background check may be required.
