Position Overview

maurices is a world‑class specialty retailer that caters to young‑at‑heart fashionistas in small towns. We pride ourselves on excellent training programs and the consistent feedback from associates who love working here. This Assistant Store Manager (part‑time and full‑time) assists in supervising the store team focused on creating an unforgettable shopping experience. As a sales lead, the assistant manager strategizes to achieve team sales goals and as a key holder executes maurices Standard Operating Practices (SOPs), such as opening and closing the store.

You will be supported in developing leadership skills to help build your career path. The assistant manager interacts with customers regularly, providing styling advice and strategizing to achieve team sales goals.

  • What you’ll do:

    Assist in the supervision of a store team focused on creating an unforgettable shopping experience that leaves our customers looking and feeling their best.
  • As a sales lead, strategize to achieve team sales goals.
  • As a key holder, efficiently and accurately execute maurices Standard Operating Practices (SOPs) such as opening and closing the store.
  • Interact with customers regularly, providing styling advice.
  • Develop leadership skills to help build a career path.

Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age
  • 1 year of customer service experience required; supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to foster a team while creating a positive working environment
  • Experience in training and directing others
  • Ability to take initiative and participate in making decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
