What you will doAs the primary customer contact, you will provide clinical knowledge of our products to medical professionals. You will implement marketing strategy, promote Amgen products, and achieve territory sales.
- Provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen’s products and communicate benefits to medical professionals.
- Act as a sales leader to achieve territory sales, delivering branded messages, implementing programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and exceeding sales targets.
- Utilize internal and external relationships to service accounts, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining contracts.
- Analyze sales activities, perform territory analysis, and develop plans with the District Manager.
- Maintain passion for our products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand and serving patients.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn.
- Leverage disease state awareness, industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver results.
We seek a go‑getter with the following qualifications.
Basic Qualifications – Specialty Representative- Bachelor’s degree OR
- Associate’s degree and 4 years of sales experience OR
- High school diploma/GED and 6 years of sales experience.
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related OR
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related OR
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related.
- Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry; product or hospital sales in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases.
- Local market knowledge.
- Established relationships in the territory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Adaptability with core competencies: planning and organizing; leveraging knowledge; communicating with impact; driving for results; cultivating relationships.
Competitive salary and benefits. Salary ranges:
Specialty Representative $89,816–$109,775;
Senior Specialty Representative $114,836–$140,356.
