Position Title: Unarmed Security Officer

Location: Altoona, PA

Schedule: Saturday and Sunday 12am-12pm

Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour

This position includes access control with a guard house. Multiple walking rounds are included in each shift.

Responsibilities:

• Perform security duties based on assigned posts.
• Detect suspicious activities and monitor for criminal acts or infractions that may threaten property, clients, or employees.
• Patrol the facility and serve as a visible deterrent to crime.
• Report unusual incidents to management.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and monitor daily activities to ensure compliance with policies.
• Perform all duties ethically, professionally, and in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain attention to detail, communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and write legible reports.
• Provide quality customer service.
• Work independently or in small groups to resolve issues quickly, providing clear and precise information under minimal supervision.
• Stand for long periods as required.

Qualifications & Education:

• Ability to stand for 8+ hours per shift.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• 1-2 years security experience preferred.
• Military or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Neat, professional appearance and demeanor.
• Willing to participate in pre-employment screening including drug testing, background check, and MVR check.
