On Time Professionals, a Division of Automated Systems of Iowa, is currently hiring a Residential Electrical Sales Technician to join its team in the Des Moines, IA area. This is a union position. All applicants must be willing to join and maintain union membership.
The Residential Electrical Sales Technician is responsible for diagnosing electrical issues, recommending solutions, and providing customers with clear, professional options for repairs, upgrades, and installations. This role combines hands‑on electrical expertise with strong customer service and sales skills to deliver quality solutions while building trust and growing company revenue.
On Time Professionals, a Division of Automated Systems of Iowa, has been in business since 1980 servicing the State of Iowa. With a combined expertise of over 50 years of experience, the team is prepared to assist its customers with all their systems from installation to reoccurring maintenance.

- Diagnose, repair, and install residential electrical systems
- Inspect electrical systems and identify safety and upgrade opportunities
- Provide estimates and explain repair, replacement, and upgrade options
- Recommend solutions based on customer needs and system condition
- Maintain accurate job records and required documentation
- Follow electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures
- Maintain a professional customer experience and clean work area
- HS diploma/GED required
- 3+ years residential electrical service experience required
- Valid driver's license
- Valid Iowa electrical license
- Must be willing to join the union upon hire
