In order to ensure this philosophy for the future, your position is responsible for assisting in the efficient, day to day operation of the dietary department according to established policies, procedures, and objectives of the organization.

• Portion food/beverages

• Wash/Sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and carriers
• Prepare resident nourishments
• Service coffee hour and special functions
• Assist Chef
• Read and arrange diet card tray identification labels in proper order
• Stock Shelves
• Use, clean, and sanitize assigned areas
• Maintain confidentiality
• Project a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, coworkers, and public
• Additional duties as assigned

• Clean resident’s rooms, common areas, bathrooms, furniture/furnishings according to job policies and procedures.
• Follow manufacture procedural guidelines when using tools
• Operate equipment and handling of chemicals
• Must be able to read and understand labeling along with the Safety Data Sheet
• Removal of debris and soiled linen
• Understand and follow proper infection control policies and procedures
• Has access to confidential information/records and maintains confidentiality
• Project a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers, public
• Must be able to communicate orally and/or in writing with residents, co-workers, families, public
• Additional duties as assigned

• Lifts and carries food supplies weighing 50 pounds occasionally; lifts and carries dishes, food trays weighing up to 25 pounds frequently.
• Occasionally pushes/pulls dish low raters/dish carts weight 250-400 pounds a distance of 70 feet.
• Constantly grasps, frequently twists, stoops, bends.
• Frequently works on slippery, wet floors.
• Frequently reaches at or below shoulder height, occasionally reaches above shoulder height.
• Occasionally climbs step stool, stairs, and kneels.
• Frequently exposed to hot, humid conditions and temperature changes.
• 100% of work day is spent indoors; 50% of workday is spent standing, 50% of work day is spent walking.
• Must be able to communicate orally and/or in writing with residents, coworkers, families, and public.
