ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Supervise nursing and CNA staff
  • Implement and direct patient care according to established plans of care, in conjunction with the DON
  • Provide clear communication to all nursing staff
  • Hold staff accountable to job responsibilities
  • Monitor overall clinical status of residents including, but not limited to weights, intakes, hydration status, elimination status, and showers
  • Assure nurse and CNA tasks and completion of documentation
  • Participate in on‑call rotation
  • Participate in monthly staff meetings
  • Provide encouragement and coaching to CNA staff
  • Assist in identifying performance improvement activities
  • Assure staffing throughout the campus
  • Provide direct patient care as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
  • Valid Wisconsin Registered Nurse license
  • Three to five years nursing experience with a minimum of 2 years in long term care
  • Must possess leadership qualities and excellent communication skills
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • BSN preferred
  • Follow/adhere to organization, federal/state regulations and guidelines, including resident/client rights, standard precautions, fire safety, and first aid
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Lift/carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Push/pull medication carts up to 300 pounds occasionally
  • Twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, walk, and stand frequently
  • Able to communicate orally and/or in writing with residents, co‑workers, families, and the public
