Accountant Altrincham £32,000 - £42,000 (DOE)

Butler Rose are pleased to be recruiting for a small, well-established accountancy practice based in Hale, who are looking to appoint an experienced Accountant to join their friendly team of four.

This is a varied, hands‑on role within a small firm environment, supporting a portfolio of SME and owner‑managed business clients across a broad range of sectors. While the core focus is accounts preparation, the successful candidate will be involved in wider practice duties, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and autonomy.

• Preparation of statutory accounts for SME and OMB clients
• Supporting clients with bookkeeping and day‑to‑day accounting queries
• Involvement with payroll processing where required
• Use of cloud accounting software, primarily Quick Books
• Assisting with general practice work and ad‑hoc client support

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
• Strong accounts preparation experience
• Exposure to bookkeeping and payroll is advantageous
• Quick Books experience would be beneficial (training provided)
• Comfortable working in a small‑team, office‑based environment

• 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service after 3, 5 and 10 years
