Management Accountant

Management Accountant Altrincham Up to £50,000 doe

A leading manufacturing firm who supply to global markets requires a proven accountant to join their team. Working closely with the FC, the ideal candidate shall have hands-on experience of working in a varied role within small business accounting. You shall also enjoy a challenging role where you can help with an on-going period of change in relation to infrastructure and strategy.

Core duties shall include:

* Updating systems and processes, taking personal ownership to put structure in place

* Deconsolidating the accounts from one to four (UK, China, Bangladesh & US are all consolidated onto one Sage database, they shall be splitting them out into four separate reporting entities)

* Heling to update IT software from Sage

* Accustomed to working with multi-currency

* Transactional accounts

* Journals, accruals and pre-payments

* Experience of managing a small team of two (one does supplier statements & P/L, the other does bank recs & Chinese accounts)

* Reconciling bank accounts

* Credit Card & expenses

* Knowledge of invoice discounting

* Working closely with the FC on management accounts, through to monthly P&L

Essentials:

* Strong troubleshooting experience and a passion for taking ownership and making a role your own & enjoy a challenging but rewarding role, where you shall see the end result once structure and a team is in place

* Strong management accounts experience

* Knowledge of Sage and strong MS Excel spreadsheet knowledge
