Job Description & How to Apply Below
About you

If you have experience working in an administration role within the construction industry and enjoy being part of a busy team, this could be a really good opportunity for you.

You will be joining an established office fit out contractor based in Altrincham, working in a varied role that combines construction administration with supporting the company's marketing and social media activity.

This could particularly suit someone who enjoys keeping things organised, helping colleagues and getting involved in different parts of a business rather than doing exactly the same thing every day.

You will need to be a positive, approachable person who is happy to get stuck in, work as part of a team and adapt when priorities change.

The role is fully office based in Altrincham, so ideally you will live locally or have a straightforward commute.

The starting salary is £25,000 per annum, plus bonus.

Working hours are either 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm, with a one hour lunch break.

Your experience

You will need previous experience in construction administration, ideally working for a main contractor, fit out contractor or refurbishment business.

You should understand how a construction office operates and be comfortable supporting colleagues with the administration involved in running projects and the wider business.

You will need to be organised, confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable managing different tasks throughout the day.

Alongside your administration experience, an interest in marketing and social media will be important.

Ideally, you will have some experience creating content for platforms such as Linked In, whether that involves writing posts, preparing simple graphics or helping promote a company's projects and achievements.

You do not need to be a marketing specialist, although you should be comfortable putting content together and willing to develop your skills.

Just as importantly, they are looking for someone with the right attitude.

You will need to be a team player who is positive, flexible and adaptable, someone who is happy to help wherever needed rather than seeing certain tasks as outside their job description.

What you will be doing with your experience

You will provide administration support to the team, helping with the day to day running of a busy construction office.

Your responsibilities will include general office administration, organising documents, maintaining records, preparing correspondence and supporting colleagues with project related paperwork.

You will help keep information organised and make sure administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Alongside this, you will support the business with its marketing strategy, particularly around social media.

This could involve creating Linked In posts, helping prepare content about completed projects, organising photographs and contributing ideas for how the business can promote its work.

You will work with colleagues to gather information for marketing content and help turn that information into something suitable to share.

There will be a mixture of routine administration and more creative work, so you will need to be comfortable switching between tasks and responding to what the team needs.

The business is looking for someone who will take pride in their work, use their initiative and become a reliable part of the team.

About the business

You will be joining an established office fit out contractor with a turnover of approximately £10 million, based in Altrincham.

The business specialises in office fit out projects and is looking to strengthen its team with someone who can support both the administration side of the business and its marketing activity.

This is a full time, office based position, so you will be working closely with colleagues rather than remotely.

They are looking for someone who wants to become part of the business, build good working relationships and contribute wherever they can.

If you have construction administration experience, enjoy working with people and would like a role where you can also get involved in social media and marketing, this could be a really good fit.

The starting salary is £25,000 per annum, plus bonus.
