A rare opportunity has arisen for a Structural Engineer to join a well‑established structural engineering consultancy in Altrincham. The successful structural engineer will work on a range of bespoke residential projects, including new builds, refurbishments, and listed buildings. The role offers the chance to be involved in technically interesting work with a close‑knit and supportive team.
Responsibilities- Structural design in timber, steel, concrete, and masonry
- Preparing calculations and technical drawings
- Liaising with architects, contractors, and clients
- Attending design meetings and site visits as needed
- Supporting project delivery from concept to completion
- Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 3+ years' experience in building structures (residential experience is beneficial)
- Comfortable using structural design software
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Keen to work in a collaborative and detail‑driven environment
