The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across several sectors including hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable generation and transmission & distribution networks. Together we provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle – from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension. Overviewof the role
We are looking for an Architectural Assistant to join our growing team who can complement the delivery of a wide variety of projects.
Your role- Proficiency in preparing BIM models and producing technical drawings using Autodesk Revit is essential, with work undertaken under the supervision of a qualified architect. A working knowledge of AutoCAD would be advantageous
- An understanding of Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Navisworks Manage/Freedom and Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro, is essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 productivity applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word is also essential
- An understanding and able to demonstrate good construction detailing experience
- Contribute to the growth of the architectural team and coordinate proactively with architectural colleagues and other engineering disciplines within integrated project teams
- Responsible for the correctness and ‘absolute accuracy’ of their drawing work (Revit/CAD), quality, layout and notes
- To focus and work in earnest to achieve high quality and drawing production to achieve the programme
- Demonstrate a commitment to developing technical abilities and technical drawing and detailing skills
- Good technical and detailing skills
- Able to demonstrate project delivery at an Architecture Practice in the UK
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in architecture and the built environment
- Experience of working with Autodesk Revit
- Previous work experience within an Architectural Practice in the UK or similar environment is desirable
- UK Security Clearance would be beneficial
- Hold RIBA Part Two exemption (Candidate successful passed BA[Hons]/BSc [Hons] and post grad BArch & MArch Dip Arch), or similar Degree Standards achieved
- Experience delivering projects in the civil nuclear, defence nuclear, UK factory design, transportation or renewable energy sectors would be advantageous
- Aware of relevant current building legislation and technical guidance such as Building Regulations Approved Documents, Approved Codes of Practice [ACoP] British Standards, ESH standards such as HSE Legislation and Guidance…
