Personal Tax Senior / Assistant Manager | Altrincham | £35,000 - £40,000 + Benefits

Do you want to manage your own portfolio of personal tax clients within a well-respected regional practice in the heart of Altrincham?

Are you looking for a role that offers a strong compliance foundation with genuine exposure to planning and advisory work alongside an active and diverse client base?

Do you want to join a supportive team environment with study support available and a clear pathway for progression?

Your new firm:

Our client is a well-regarded regional accountancy practice with offices in Altrincham and Northwich. Known for delivering a high quality and personalised service to their clients, this is a firm where you will be genuinely valued as part of a close knit and collaborative team rather than a number in a large corporate structure.

Your new role:

As Personal Tax Senior or Assistant Manager you will take ownership of a portfolio of personal tax clients, working closely alongside the Accounts Director and wider team in Altrincham with support from the broader tax team across both offices. The role is primarily compliance focused - managing the annual personal tax compliance cycle for a varied and active client base - but the nature of the clients means there will be regular exposure to planning and advisory work alongside the compliance foundation.

This is a role where you can genuinely develop your technical skills and build strong long term client relationships within a supportive environment.

To be successful in this role you'll need:

ATT qualified with strong passes as a minimum, ideally currently studying or already qualified with CTA. Study support is available to complete CTA for the right candidate. You will have solid personal tax experience gained within a practice environment, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage your own workload and client relationships effectively.

As an employer, we are committed to ensuring the representation of people from all backgrounds regardless of their gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, race, religion, ethnicity, age, neurodiversity, disability status, or any other aspect which makes them unique. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds to apply and would encourage you to let us know if there are steps, we can take to ensure that your recruitment process enables you to present yourself in a way that makes you comfortable.
