Social Media Executive

About the roleWe’re looking for a Social Media Executive who lives and breathes social, especially Tik Tok, and understands how content, culture, and strategy work together to drive real brand growth.
This role is perfect for someone who is hands‑on, creatively sharp, and commercially aware. You’ll be equally comfortable jumping on a trend, planning a content calendar, analysing performance, and helping shape the wider social strategy. You’re not just posting, you’re building a brand.
What you’ll be doing Tik Tok & Short‑form Content (Key Focus)- Own and execute our Tik Tok strategy, from trend‑spotting to content creation and optimisation
- Create, edit, and publish high‑performing short‑form video (Tik Tok, Reels, Shorts)
- Confidently appear on camera when needed, or direct others to do so
- Stay ahead of trends, sounds, formats, and platform shifts, and know which ones are worth jumping on
- Support the development and execution of our overall social media strategy
- Plan and manage content calendars across Tik Tok, Instagram, and other relevant platforms
- Balance brand storytelling, education, entertainment, and conversion‑focused content
- Work closely with marketing, influencer, and e‑commerce teams to align campaigns
- Help maintain and evolve a consistent, confident brand voice across platforms
- Engage with our community through comments, DMs, and interactive content
- Understand what our audience actually cares about, and reflect that in content
- Track and report on content performance (views, engagement, retention, conversions)
- Use insights to continuously refine content and platform strategy
- Test, learn, iterate, and know why something worked or didn’t
- Support Tik Tok Shop activity, ensuring content, launches, and key products are seamlessly integrated into short‑form strategy
- Confidently tag and link products within content to create a smooth in‑app shopping journey
- Assist with live sessions, including pre‑heat content, talking points, clipping, and repurposing high‑performing moments
- Maintain awareness of basic performance metrics (views, clicks, conversions) to understand what drives both engagement and sales
- Spot opportunities to turn trending moments or viral formats into shoppable content
- Strong experience managing Tik Tok for a brand or creator
- A deep understanding of short‑form video and social‑first storytelling
- Strategic mindset, you can see the bigger picture, not just the next post
- Comfortable filming, editing, and publishing content independently
- Excellent written communication and visual judgement
- Experience in e‑commerce, beauty, wellness, or consumer brands
- Familiarity with influencer or UGC‑style content
- Basic understanding of paid social or performance marketing
- Experience working in a fast-growth brand or startup environment
