Summary

The Rep Room is Specular Theory’s cutting‑edge virtual reality flight simulation training lab located at the Altus Air Force Base in Altus, OK. It’s part tech studio, part squadron back‑shop where our marquee products—EARL (receiver/tanker scenarios), BART (boom operator), and MATT (headset‑based academics)—stay ready to train for KC‑46, KC‑135, and C‑17 communities. It’s a hands‑on, checklist‑driven environment where clean installs, version control, precisely labeled gear, quick fixes on common issues, and honest feedback that directly improves the product are essential to a successful training room.

We run quick‑turn demos, support instructors and students, and turn real‑world input into better training, fast.

What You’ll Do
  • Daily readiness
    :
Open and close the lab each day. Administer health checks daily to ensure all stations are ready before training starts.
  • Hardware swaps

Set up and replace keyboards, mice, USB hubs, cables, and headsets when directed. Label gear and ensure serial numbers are up‑to‑date.
  • Software updates

Install and update software as instructed, ensuring stations are always using the correct version.
  • Fix common issues
    :
Troubleshoot video or tracking loss, as well as audio or launcher issues. If the standard steps don’t work, pass it to the right teammate quickly and note what you tried.
  • Light reporting
    :
Keep usage, sign‑ins, and check‑outs current. Help gather data that the team can input into weekly status reports.
  • Manage shipping and receiving
    :
Handle RMAs and crates. Keep the work area safe and organized.
  • Follow security and equipment rules
    :
Use only designated machines and follow labeling and handling instructions.
