We are seeking Accounting Manager to lead and manage cost accounting and operational finance activities supporting our client’s specialty facility in Alvarado, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in strong foundation of Corporate Finance & Accounting activities within a large organization, coupled with leadership experience to drive ownership and accountability.

This position serves as a key liaison between operations, supply chain, and finance leadership—ensuring smooth accounting processes, effective process controls, and accurate cost reporting that drive business performance.

• Lead and supervise the site accounting team, overseeing cost accounting, inventory management, and reporting functions.
• Manage and review standard cost updates, cost roll‑ups, variance analyses, and inventory valuations to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
• Oversee month‑end close activities, including journal entry approval, cost accruals, and reconciliations.
• Partner closely with supply chain and operations leadership to interpret cost drivers, production variances, and material usage trends—identifying opportunities for efficiency and margin improvement.
• Drive forecasting and budgeting processes, ensuring consistency in cost modeling, assumptions, and data integrity for site accounting and financial activities.
• Develop and present key performance dashboards and reports using Excel, Power
  
  BI or similar tools to support operational decision‑making.
• Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, automation, and efficiency within the accounting function.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors on cost and inventory‑related matters.

• 4-6+ years of experience in Corporate Accounting, or Finance & Accounting roles.
• Manufacturing, industrial environment or oil & gas would be ideal but not necessary.
• Minimum 1-2 years of Management, supervisory, or team lead experience.
• Proficiency in SAP (S4 HANA or ECC) or similar large ERP systems.
• Experience with Blackline and Oracle Hyperion/Essbase strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Finance, or related field required.
• Proficiency in Excel and Power
  
  BI (or similar data visualization tools).
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate accounting team members.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration abilities; able to translate complex financial data for operational leaders.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data accuracy, continuous improvement, and process automation.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
