Engages with customers, provides efficient checkout services, bags and transports groceries, locates products, and conducts price verifications. Maintains proficiency regarding transactions and tender accuracy while performing customer service duties in a safe and sanitary shopping environment.

• Ensures correct checkout totals by properly weighing, keying, and scanning items.
• Maintains accurate money count in register at all times.
• Remembers product codes and stays familiar with advertised and special items.
• Adheres to tender policies and procedures related to checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, WIC, and AML.
• Greet customers, answer questions, locate and promote products, and respond to complaints.
• Promotes Thank You Card program and assists customers with sign‑up process where applicable.
• Bag groceries properly, limit bag weight, prevent cross‑contamination, and ensure receipt of all purchased items.
• Handle objects safely to avoid product or property damage.
• Stock, clean, and present front‑end racks, drink coolers, and cleaning supply stations.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary working and shopping environment by following company safety procedures.
• Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding restricted items such as tobacco, alcohol, and cannabis‑based and pharmaceutical products.
