Responsibilities- Explain automotive systems issues to customers to ensure a clear, transparent repair process
- Perform routine maintenance, as needed, like checking fluid levels, rotating tires, and oil changes
- Operate diagnostic equipment to accurately determine the cause of malfunction codes with the vehicle’s integrated computer system
- Apply a checklist-based approach to ensure a comprehensive examination of all vehicle systems, including the engine, air conditioning, transmission, and brake systems
- Follow all manufacturer specifications for vehicle system repairs to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and facilitate returning business
- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
- Diagnose and repair issues with vehicles
- Inspect and test automotive electrical systems for faults and malfunctions
- Replace worn or damaged parts, such as shocks, struts, and suspension components
- Perform scheduled vehicle maintenance services according to manufacturer guidelines
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
- Automotive Service Excellence /ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers /SAE certification is preferred
- Strong customer service and communications skills are needed
- Must have completed a post-secondary training program in automotive service technology; associate degree a plus
- GED or high school diploma is mandatory
- Experience level: 3 years
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicles
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to customers
- Strong willingness to work with others in a positive way
Compensation: $25 - $45 hourly
