Field Superintendent - Swing Shift

Position Summary

The Field Superintendent will lead the completion of a hyper‑scale data center near Amarillo, TX, overseeing layout, planning, and execution of the assigned project scope. This is a full‑time swing/night shift position directly reporting to the Project Superintendent.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day activities with other superintendents, field superintendents, and subcontractors.
  • Supervise multiple subcontractors and craft employees.
  • Maintain and adjust the project schedule daily.
  • Manage and abide by all safety protocol.
  • Provide resolution to design and constructability issues.
  • Respond to client requests and develop solutions using technical expertise.
  • Interpret and implement proper installations in compliance with local permits, codes, and site specifications.
  • Provide supporting information on field conditions for cost estimates.
  • Facilitate contractor activity to ensure contractual performance.
  • Assist with managing project staffing.
  • Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
Qualifications Professional Experience and Education
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of combined construction experience, including large‑scale industrial/high‑tech projects.
  • Experience as a General Contractor preferred.
  • OHSA 30 Certification.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field experience required.
  • Education background in materials and methods of mechanical construction.
Position Related Skills
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, Teams).
  • Experience with project management software such as Problog, Procore, E‑Builder, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Primavera P6.
  • Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
  • Training in design and construction document reading, specifications, survey theory and techniques.
  • Organize technical data accurately; familiar with CSI specification system.
  • Familiar with mechanical installations on large mechanical and process equipment and cleanroom environments.
  • Demonstrated understanding of all aspects of mechanical construction.
  • Highly developed visual observation and interpretation skills.
  • Cooperative attitude under high‑pressure conditions.
  • Excellent time‑management and multitasking.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong team player with collaboration across departments.

Additional Information

Pay range: $88,400 – $163,000 (or $160,000 – $195,000 depending on experience). The job is located near Amarillo, TX.
