Content and Social Media Specialist

Andrews & Associates is hiring a Content and Social Media Specialist to join our Media Team.

Our Media Team brings together social media, writing, design, video, and website work.

We’re looking for a writer who can learn a client’s business, find the right voice, and turn ideas into content people want to read.

You’ll report to our Media Team Manager and collaborate closely with our Social Media Supervisor, designer, video team, and web team. You’ll take responsibility for your assigned content while sharing ideas and working through feedback with the people involved.

You’ll write social posts, blogs, and website copy for clients across different industries, while also helping plan social calendars and schedule approved content.

Writing is the main focus of this position. You’ll also need to be organized, comfortable working through feedback, and able to keep multiple client projects moving.

Andrews & Associates is a managed services provider and digital marketing agency in Amarillo supporting law firms, medical practices, banks and insurance agencies, county and municipal government, and agriculture and energy operations across the Texas Panhandle and eastern New Mexico. • Research, write, and edit social media posts, blog articles, website pages, and other client content
• Adapt your writing to each client’s voice, audience, and goals
• Build social media calendars with post dates, topics, copy, and clear direction for graphics, photography, and video
• Work alongside our Social Media Supervisor to prepare schedules for review, complete revisions, and schedule approved posts
• Refresh existing blogs and website content for accuracy, clarity, and relevance
• Help develop content for new websites by gathering information, organizing pages, and writing copy
• Communicate with clients to collect information, confirm details, and follow up on content needs
• Apply content SEO practices, including headings, internal links, page titles, and meta descriptions
• Use Google Analytics and Search Console findings to help improve content
• Keep content documents and project records organized, communicate potential delays early, and check your work before publication
• Assist with social account monitoring and community engagement as assigned

• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and research skills
• The ability to write for different businesses without making every client sound the same
• Attention to detail, including checking facts, dates, links, and formatting
  
  Good organization and the ability to follow projects through revisions and approval
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach to working with writers, designers, video producers, and web staff
• A working understanding of content SEO and a willingness to learn our platforms and processes
• A valid Texas driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation
• Must pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting. Approval under the FBI CJIS Security Policy is a prerequisite for an offer. If you cannot be cleared, we cannot hire you, regardless of ability

• Experience with Google Analytics, Search Console, content management systems, or writing for multiple brands is helpful
• Familiarity with social media publishing and website content tools
