PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Manages student learning in accordance with the goals and directives of the school and the district.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education/Certification:
Currently enrolled in Amarillo College with a minimum of 30 credit hours.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of assigned curriculum and instructional methods.
- Lesson planning and presentation skills.
- Conflict resolution and classroom management skills.
- Group interaction skills.
- Technology skills preferred.
Work Conditions:
- Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals.
- Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing; bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
- Motion: Repetitive hand motions including keyboarding; reaching.
- Lifting: Lifting and carrying less than 50 pounds.
- Environment: Ability to work with frequent interruptions, maintain professionalism under stress, work flexible hours including summer and evenings, and wear professional attire.
