Job SummaryThe Mechanical Field Superintendent - Dry will play a pivotal role in driving the completion of a hyper‑scale data center construction project by leading the mechanical installation teams through layout, planning, and execution of the project’s wet systems. As a member of the Construction Management team, the Mechanical Field Superintendent - Dry will be situated in the field and report directly to the Project Superintendent.
They will collaborate closely with other Hoffman project team members and subcontractors, providing direction and guidance to ensure project objectives are met while maintaining excellence in safety and demonstrating the highest level of integrity.
Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $
Essential Responsibilities- Coordinate day‑to‑day activities with other superintendents, subcontractors and other discipline subcontractors
- Monitor the performance and productivity of subcontractor teams ensuring project specifications are met, and quality and safety standards are maintained
- Maintain and adjust project schedule as necessary
- Manage RFI, submittal materials for review with the Owner/Architect
- Manage and abide by all safety protocol
- Provide resolution to design and constructability issues
- Respond to customer/client requests and/or issues and develop resolution to problems using technical expertise
- Must be able to interpret and implement proper installations in compliance with all permitting, codes and site specifications
- Provide supporting information regarding field conditions and scope for cost estimates.
- Facilitate contractor activity ensuring performance by all contractual agreement
- Provide clear communication verbally, written and electronically
- Work closely with owners, architects, engineers and subs
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Electrical or equivalent degree or equivalent work experience
- Education background in materials and methods of construction
- Applicant to have five (5) plus years managing the construction of dry mechanical systems
- HVAC
- OHSA 30 Certification
- Extensive experience on large industrial and hi‑tech fabrication projects
- Experience in organizing technical data in a neat and accurate method; familiar with CSI specification system for construction
- Ability to work closely with trade and craft people in a field work situation.
- Training in design document reading, design specifications, survey theory and techniques
- Proficient in the following programs:
Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook), Prolog, Procore, E‑Builder laser digital Scanning, Building Information Model (BIM), AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Suretrack Project Manager, and Primavera Project Planner (P6) - Previous craft‑level experience

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Frequently operates machinery and will use hands/fingers and legs to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect and position materials - Sight:
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus in an outdoor environment. Must be able to safely operate a vehicle with a valid driver’s license. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; reading printed and digital documents - Hearing:
Must be able to work in proximity to loud equipment more than 75% of the time. Must be able to wear hearing protection as necessary. Often required to communicate with customers and coworkers in an office setting and on the job site. - Speech:
