Senior Service Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and service to GEA customers. This includes installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of GEA equipment and systems. The role ensures customer satisfaction through timely and professional service while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:- Installation & Commissioning:
Install and commission high-speed separators and associated systems at customer sites. - Servicing & Repair:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of high-speed rotating equipment, especially separators. - Technical Support:
Provide on-site and remote technical assistance to customers. Create technical tickets with the factory for clarification via GEA CRM. - Training:
Conduct training sessions for customers on equipment operation and maintenance. - Documentation & Reporting:
Create and maintain project documentation, service reports, and task updates. Support other engineering projects as required.
Skills:
- Technical Expertise:
- Mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- Basic electronics, ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of pneumatics and process automation.
- Experience in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of high-speed rotating equipment (especially separators).
- Industry Knowledge:
- Experience with Palm Oil Refinery processes is a strong advantage.
- Safety:
- Understanding of safety and occupational health standards.
- Soft Skills:
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
- Attention to detail and strong teamwork skills.
- Excellent communication with clients and colleagues.
- Goal- and results-oriented, motivated to learn and teach.
- Ability to perform under pressure, multitask, and take responsibility.
- Punctuality, honesty, and professionalism.
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in industrial equipment servicing.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site at customer facilities.
- Valid driving license.
