High Voltage Substation Inspector
POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is currently seeking a High Voltage Substation Inspector. This position will be primarily responsible for performing substation inspections. The role may require up to 100% travel, with mobilization provided by POWER. Work will be conducted in the Amarillo, Texas area and surrounding states.

Who You AreRequired Qualifications
- 5+ years of active field experience with proficiency in Word, Excel, and photo documentation.
- Travel requirement based on project location.
- Knowledge of transmission line work, foundations, stringing of conductors, and transmission substations.
- Ability to work up to 12‑hour days, 5–6 days a week if project requires.
- Willingness to travel and stay for a minimum of 6 weeks at a time.
- Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions for up to 12 hours a day.
- Willingness to wear company‑provided PPE for the entire shift while onsite.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs at any given time.
- Capacity to walk 3–5 miles per day across rough terrain or uneven surfaces.
- Ability to step in and out of a 3/4‑ton pickup truck several times a day.
- Current and valid driver’s license.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting plans and specifications and comparing them with the customer or engineer’s standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with others at all levels of the organization.
- Prepare detailed reports and present them to the customer in an organized, clear, and concise manner each day.
