- Operate in varying weather conditions to complete fieldwork
- Direct daily field operations of the crew, delegate tasks, and oversee performance
- Take ownership of all assigned field equipment, ensuring proper use and maintenance
- Coordinate project logistics including site access, field conditions, schedule alignment, and client updates
- Confirm all fieldwork is complete before leaving the job site
- Demonstrate professionalism and respect in all client interactions
- Consistently uphold and represent RRC Companies’ values in the field
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools, including Microsoft Teams, for communication and documentation
- Properly store files and send email (going to an office is not required on most jobs)
- 5+ years' experience as a Party Chief or Crew Chief
- Must have prior ALTA experience
- Proficient in operating Trimble survey equipment, including TSC3, TSC7, R8, and R10 units
- Strong background in construction layout, including: building staking, parking lot staking, utility staking, boundary searches
- Experience running level loops and establishing vertical/horizontal benchmarks
- Capable of generating and interpreting OPUS solutions
- Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D for field calculations and data preparation
- Navigate to and from project sites, including long-distance travel as required
