Job Snapshot: Entry level position developing and coordinating with Manufacturing the strategies and plans that improve productivity. Under management supervision, implements practices to reduce operating expenses, reduce work in progress, and increase production.
What you’ll be doing as an Associate Industrial Engineer- Learn to summarize, by significant categories, issues that affect manufacturing activity to the Production supervisor.
- Learn to develop crewload/shopload plans and reports.
- Learn to estimate time value or standard in appropriate electronic systems.
- Learn to provide schedule variance figures to manufacturing and assist in weekly performance reports explanations.
- Learn to implement cost reduction ideas (Method Improvements).
- Learn to provide Weekly Activity reports.
- Ensure visual factory information is current at all times.
- Time standards applications
- Schedule and cost analysis
- Manufacturing cost savings
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering required.
- 3.0 minimum overall, undergraduate GPA is strongly preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience
- Internship in the manufacturing environment as an Industrial Engineer
- Read blueprints, personal computer suite of software packages such as Excel, Word, Access, etc.
- Six Sigma Training
- Comply with ISO, DIs and BHT SPIs, and MD
- You’ll be off every other Friday with our 9/80 work schedule
- 80 hours of Personal Time Off (PTO)
